About

“The secret of fortune is joy in our hands. Welcome evermore to gods and men is the self-helping man. For him all doors are flung wide. Him all tongues greet, all honors crown, all eyes follow with desire. Our love goes out to him and embraces him because he did not need it.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hey there, thanks for visiting my blog.

This blog revolves around a single concept – men, help thyself.

If you’re here, you want to be more self-reliant and less reliant on outside forces. I write to teach (learn) self-reliance. I write to express myself; not to impress anyone! Thus, my writing will be blunt, sharp, straight-forward and brief (or sometimes lengthy). If you find value here, subscribe to my newsletter, I will send you stuff that may become more self-reliant. But remember self-reliance is both your duty & obligation.

Welcome! Namaste!

About me

I am Sayantan and I am a writer.

I write for a living and I write to express myself.

In a single line, I’m a husband, freelance writer, author, fitness enthusiast, and entrepreneur. I stand for possibility and my mission is to promote self-reliance. When I’m not working, I read, sing, and craft poetry.

  1. Dude, graphology~ Seriously!! I love graphology. I used to practice that a lot too, but I guess people type these days a lot, instead of write. So one can’t really analyse typefaces, now can they?

    1. My dear friend, who call themselves graphologist, most probably they do analyze typefaces. I can’t tell about others, but I certainly do. Thanks for dropping by! Welcome to my blog 🙂

      1. “hand-written” typefaces you mean. And of-course we won’t start calling Steve Jobs a graphologist, posthumously. What might be more appropriately called the study of .. umm.. what was that he called the subject, in his very famous Stanford Speech? You get it right ?

      2. Yup..I am talking about handwriting in simple terms…when you write anything (preferably in English) on paper and give it to me, I will talk about who you are, what are your strengths and weaknesses and other things as well…Graphology is Handwriting Analysis 🙂

  2. Hey there Sayantan!
Thank you so much for following me, I did the same with your blog.
I’m new to the blogging world, and I am looking forward to make some new friends.

  3. I would first like to say “Thanks for the follow”
I created this Award ON MARCH 4TH 2013 for the following reasons

“This is an award for everyone who is part of the “Word Press Family”
I start this award on the basis that the WordPress family has taken me in,
and showed me love and a caring side only WordPress can. The way people take a second to be nice,
to answer a question and not make things a competition amazes me here. I know I have been given many awards,
but I wanted to leave my own legacy on here by creating my own award, as many have done before. This represents “Family” we never meet,
but are there for us as family. It is my honour to start this award. Thank you, Shaun @ http://prayingforoneday.wordpress.com/

When I get 10 new follers in a day or two, I like to welcome you all to my Word Press Family
I would be HONOURED if you accepted this Award, for people we may treat as family but may never meet.
We never know what friendships will come our way. I have made many Amazing friends here.
Please accept this Award. I ask you keep the red text in when givinng to 10 others.

    More love
    Less hate

    1. Shaun, I would love to say ‘yes’ and I love your effort and generosity. But here my priority is to serve and support people with their life paths and create valuable content daily. With that priority in mind, it would be very difficult for me to adhere to any rules and contribute a piece of my time to awards section. Your love is my award. And we are already a big family supporting each other in our cause. Hope you would understand!

      Peace, Sayantan!

    1. Thanks so much Susan. I adore the incredible care being put behind these nominations and I absolutely love that. But my purpose here is to serve you, my beautiful and amazing readers with daily, useful valuable content and with that goal in mind, it would be bit difficult for me to give a piece of time to award section. Thanks so much for nominating me and thanks so much for your kind words…Hope you would understand my intention…God bless you 🙂

      1. Thank you for responding Sayantan and I applaud the reason for your blog. It is one of the many reasons I enjoy it so much. Of course I understand your explanation, there is no problem there at all.
        Blessings for your kindness.
        Susan
